You ensure exceptional service is delivered across ABCs Print, IT and Telecoms product portfolio through efficient and effective management.
You will be a key member of the management team, ensuring we have the right resources and capabilities in place to deliver our commitments and SLA’s, as well as robust and scalable processes and best in class systems.
You will work collaboratively with other Directors to maximise our Service revenues and margins, which are key to ABC’s strategic growth plan.
Customer satisfaction and retention are at the core of this role, with a strong emphasis on continuous improvement, team development, and operational excellence.
This position requires a strong blend of strategic leadership, process optimisation, and financial acumen to enhance performance, control costs, and support long-term business growth.
Full ownership of Operations department within ABC (including helpdesk, engineering, installation and technical support), across Print, Telecoms and IT Services.
Deliver exceptional customer experience throughout our Operations department.
Oversee workload distribution, resource allocation, and performance of the Operations team.
Continuously assess and improve operational strategies, policies and processes to drive cost-effectiveness and service quality.
Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and best practices.
Mitigation against risks to be presented as the market changes such as SLA’s or changes to industry standards.
Integrate new products and services into operations; scoping and drawing up solutions with other key stakeholders.
Management of Health & Safety and environmental compliance.
Ensuring compliance with ISO standards and certification.
Set and track KPIs and performance targets to align with business objectives.
Act as a mentor and coach, supporting team members in their professional development.
Conduct regular performance evaluations, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
Identify training needs and implement individual development plans to upskill team members.
Lead team meetings to ensure alignment and accountability.
Manage relationships with service providers, subcontractors, and installation teams.
Ensure subcontractor compliance with company standards, performance metrics, and budgets.
Assess supplier agreements and recommend improvements for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Oversee the effective use of internal systems and tools, recommending improvements where needed.
Drive automation and process enhancements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Ensure data-driven decision-making through regular reporting and analysis.
Budget overhead responsibilities, including drafting, presenting, and deploying the yearly operations budget.
Work collaboratively with Sales to preserve existing client relationships and maximise service revenues and margins.
Identify recruitment needs and support hiring efforts to strengthen the Operations team.
Participate in and contribute to monthly Board Meetings, give a monthly Operations update and provide insights into operational performance and strategic direction.
Uphold company policies, culture, and values, setting an example of professionalism and leadership.
Proven experience in operations management, preferably in a technology, managed services, or business solutions environment.
Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to mentor and develop a high-performing team.
Minimum three years’ working experience of managing remote teams of significant size at a senior operational level.
Demonstrated ability to improve processes, enhance efficiency, and drive cost savings.
Experience in managing KPIs, performance metrics, and operational reporting.
Proficiency in contract management, supplier negotiations, and subcontractor oversight.
Strong financial acumen, with the ability to manage budgets and analyse cost-effectiveness.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to operational challenges.
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills at all levels.
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, evolving business landscape.
Experience in workflow, workforce, or workspace solutions industries.
Knowledge of ERP, CRM, and operational management software.
Project management certification (e.g., Prince2, Six Sigma, Lean).
A degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
Self-motivated and ambitious, ‘can do’ mindset, determined approach, enjoys working to budget and KPI targets.
Lead by example with the ability to sell a vision and deliver against it.
Desire to deliver excellence in customer service and ability to test and improve the customer experience.
Strong skills in planning, logistics, resource management and good understanding of commercial controls.
Should possess ability to interpret technical issues through the non-technical description provided by their customers.
